A submersible pump is an air-tight sealed motor close-coupled to the pump body. The main advantage of this type of pump is that it prevents pump cavitation, a problem associated with a high elevation difference between pump and fluid surface. A submersible pump never requires priming as the whole assembly is submerged in the fluid. Submersible pumps are very efficient because they spend less energy moving water into the pump, the water pressure pushes the water into a submersible pump, thus "saving" a lot of the pump's energy. Here are some before and after pictures of locations that PumpMan has serviced.

When installing submersible pumps, many workplaces contain areas that are considered a "confined space" because their configurations hinder the activities of workers who must enter, work in, and exit them. Entry into such areas requires a well trained, properly equipped person who is certified to safely perform the tasks required. At PumpMan, our technicians are Confined Space and HAZWOPER certified.

PumpMan's planned maintenance department is ready to keep your pump systems clean and operational for the task at hand with 40 years of experience and expertise. Don't get caught with one of your pumps down!
